Science, python, and other adventures
My name is Ammon (it rhymes with backgammon, or examine). I went to college to be a math major, but I found out that being moderately good at something wasn’t grounds for a life-long career. Fortunately, I found out that being a biologist was an option.
I’ve had the great fortune of spending my PhD learning how to use machine learning to quantify behavior and study courtship. I hope to leverage these approaches to figure out what drives mate preference and pairbond formation.
